Gandiva Phinisi
What we can add around the sailing, and how each extra is priced
Updated 3 November 2026
Anniversary decoration, a beach dinner and a photographer for a Komodo phinisi trip are services on Gandiva, arranged on request. None is in the fare. Each request is answered with a written quote inside one working day. Nothing joins your booking until you say yes.
What we add around the sailing
What the fare already pays for is the sailing itself: boat, crew, cruise director, cabin and three meals a day. Everything else we add is a line on a separate quote. That includes a dinner on a beach, decoration for a cabin or the deck, a cake, a photographer or a drone flight, a working session, a larger vehicle at the airport.
Every extra works the same way. Send the request, the date and the head count. Within one working day a written price and its conditions come back, and you accept or you decline. Anything outside the boat also waits on the route, the sky and the captain.
Head count, island and season all move the price, which is why this page prints none.
Harbour transfer included
The fare pays for the ride to the pier, and the pickup time reaches you in writing at booking.
When a party outgrows the standard vehicle, a Toyota HiAce van for up to twelve or a larger coach replaces it, and we quote the change before it is added.
Deck-table working session
A working session at the deck table or ashore, shaped by your agenda and priced for you first.
Ask usTeam outing
A team outing aboard the entire boat, with dates, cabins and invoice details agreed on paper before payment.
Ask usGenerations together
A gathering across generations, with cabins, meals and pace talked through first and each extra quoted before anything is added.
Ask usBeach dinner
A dinner on a beach ashore, arranged when you ask; the route, the sky and the captain decide it, and the price comes first.
Ask usLanterns on the sand
A dinner for two on the sand, with lanterns in a circle as in the boat's own photograph, arranged when you ask and priced before it joins your booking.
Ask usSeafood dinner
A seafood dinner served on deck or on the shore, set up when you ask and priced first.
Ask usAnniversary dinner
A dinner built around a birthday, an anniversary or a dietary need; describe it and the price reaches you in writing before anything is added.
Ask usCabin decoration
Decoration for a cabin, Arjuna included, or for the deck table, quoted before anything is added.
Ask usPhotographer or drone
A photographer for the hours you name, or a drone flight with the park permit applied for ahead, quoted before anything is added.
Ask usOn request — no fixed price
A van at the airport when the party outgrows a car
The fare covers the ride to the pier, collecting you from the hotel or the airport at a time that we put in writing. As standard that is a car or minibus for the whole party.
When the party outgrows it, a Toyota HiAce van seats up to twelve, and a larger coach is possible on request. Twelve guests and their luggage is the case for the van. The upgrade is priced for you first, and the pickup time follows in the same message.
Land a day early, so that a late flight cannot cost you the boat. A private charter lets boarding and finish times follow your flights; on the last day, fly out after 14:00.
Lanterns in a circle on the sand: the beach dinner
The boat's own photographs include a night on a beach: lanterns set in a circle on the sand and a table inside it. That is the dinner we can arrange. It is arranged on request, as an island dinner for the party or as a private island dinner for the two of you.
Our quote says plainly that the island, and the dinner itself, hang on the route, the sky and the captain. If the sand is not possible, the table on deck, under its shade roof, takes the evening instead, and dinner on board is in the fare.
A seafood dinner, on deck or ashore, follows the same path. A dinner with a special request, for a birthday or a dietary need, is described to us first and priced before it is booked.
Cake and flowers: asked for, priced, then added
A cake and flowers start with a date and a number of guests. Tell us what you want in the cabin or on the deck, a cake after dinner or a decoration on the bed, and we quote the whole.
Decoration can dress Arjuna, with its balcony and freestanding bathtub, or any of the other four cabins, or the deck table. Quote first, then we add the line to your booking.
It is not free and it isn't in the fare. We arrange it; you see the price before agreeing. The quote also says what is needed from you: the date, the cabin, a name for the cake.
A photographer for the hours that matter
A private charter fare has no photographer and no photo documentation. An open-trip fare brings a guide and group coverage, which is not a photographer working for the two of you.
A photographer is a service on request. Tell us the hours that matter: Padar before sunrise, Kalong at dusk, the dinner. We quote for those hours and confirm in writing how and where the photographer joins you. A drone flight needs a park permit, which we apply for ahead, and the national park drone fee is its own line.
On an open sailing the guide and the coverage are already paid for, so a photographer is for the portraits those do not reach. The frames are yours to choose; the camera stays yours unless you add a photographer.
Company evenings, and a meeting under the awning
Meetings and company evenings follow the same terms. A working session at the dining deck table, or on an island, is built around your agenda and quoted before it is added. A senior team outing on the whole boat is settled in writing first: dates, cabins and invoice details.
The boat has no meeting room and no projector; the Wi-Fi is local and no speed is given. The lounge has a bar and a 65-inch screen with karaoke for the evening. Alcoholic drinks are outside the fare, so ask us before bringing any aboard.
Family gatherings across generations are arranged the same way: cabins, meals and pace discussed first, each extra quoted before it is added.
FAQ
How fast do you quote a cake, a dinner or a photographer?
Our written quote reaches you within one working day. The price depends on headcount, island and season. The written price is binding on us, and nothing reaches your booking until you say yes.
Is the airport pickup in the fare, and can we upgrade the vehicle?
The harbour transfer from your hotel or the airport is in the fare. Instead of the default vehicle you can have a Toyota HiAce van seating up to twelve, or a larger coach. The price of the upgrade reaches you before it is added.
