What the park charges, and where it sits on your bill
Updated 3 November 2026
KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. Komodo National Park ticket cost: IDR 250,000 a day for a foreign visitor under PP 36/2024, and for a local resident holding Indonesian citizenship IDR 50,000 on a weekday. On a Gandiva anniversary boat trip the park is its own line on your quote and never sits inside the fare.
The park ticket price list, and who settles it
Two prices sit side by side in the table. The government entrance ticket comes first. Each day inside the park costs a foreign visitor IDR 250,000. On weekdays a citizen of Indonesia is charged IDR 50,000; weekends and public holidays raise it to IDR 75,000. Government Regulation PP 36/2024 sets it, and trekking, wildlife viewing and snorkelling inside the park are all covered by it.
The second is the park package we quote for your trip type. That package folds the ticket together with the ranger fee and local levies, which makes it a different thing from the government ticket. A ranger walks with every party on Komodo, Rinca and Padar, and the ranger is paid per group, not per person.
Neither price is in the boat fare. A higher foreign-visitor ticket is under study, and no new amount or date has been announced, so check this page again before you book.
| Trip | Foreign guest | Indonesian guest |
|---|---|---|
| 3D2N | IDR 650,000 | IDR 350,000 |
| 4D3N | IDR 750,000 | IDR 350,000 |
One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest and paid on top of the boat price, unless your quote says it is included. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.
| International visitors | IDR 250,000 per person per day |
| Indonesian visitors | IDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays |
Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.
Tickets multiplied across two or three mornings
Charges run per person per day; every day your boat spends inside the park is a day to pay for. Two of you over two days is four ticket-days at the foreign rate. Ten guests over three days is thirty.
A table below runs the entrance ticket alone for parties of two, four and ten across one, two and three days. It is a way to check our arithmetic, not a quote. What you actually pay for the park is the package line on your written quote; all lines are shown to you ahead of payment.
For an anniversary on the 3D2N route the park days fall on the Padar morning, the Komodo walk and the snorkel stops, so the count is not the same as the nights on board. We write the count into the quote.
| Guests | Days | International | Indonesian | Indonesian · weekends & holidays |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 100,000 | IDR 150,000 |
| 2 | 2 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 2 | 3 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 300,000 | IDR 450,000 |
| 4 | 1 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 4 | 2 | IDR 2,000,000 | IDR 400,000 | IDR 600,000 |
| 4 | 3 | IDR 3,000,000 | IDR 600,000 | IDR 900,000 |
| 10 | 1 | IDR 2,500,000 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 750,000 |
| 10 | 2 | IDR 5,000,000 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 1,500,000 |
| 10 | 3 | IDR 7,500,000 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 2,250,000 |
The calculator shows the government entrance ticket alone. KEXI's park package already includes it, together with the ranger fee and local levies. Verified 10 October 2026.
The drone permit and other lines outside a ticket
A drone needs its own permit. The national park drone fee is outside the fare, and the permit is applied for before the trip, through the park's online system. On request we apply for it and put the cost in writing. Do not fly without it.
Personal photographs and phone video cost nothing. Commercial filming and organised shoots carry a permit and a fee of their own, and the park prices a pre-wedding shoot separately. If you are thinking of a photographer for your anniversary, tell us first, so that we ask the park before we quote.
Certified divers pay a small extra per day on top of the entrance ticket; ask us if that is you. Crew tips and personal spending are not park lines at all, and they stay outside the fare.
Settling the tickets: place, moment, method
There is no cash window at a gate. Everything runs online through the park's own system: payment is cashless and every visitor is registered under a name and a passport number. Hence our request for passport details a week before sailing.
The park also has capped visitors at one thousand a day since 1 April 2026, in three time sessions. We book your tickets and the sessions on your behalf, and we ask you to keep the e-ticket in your own name.
On the day, carry your original passport. The harbour checks each name against the boat's manifest before you board, so a misspelt name costs minutes at the pier. The park line appears on your written quote with its due date, and we confirm in writing how and when it is settled.
FAQ
Is the park fee in the Gandiva fare, and how much cash should we plan for?
The park ticket is never inside the fare. On the quote, the park gets a line of its own, priced as a package for your trip type; the entrance ticket for a foreigner is IDR 250,000 a day by itself. Keep some cash for small personal costs; the written quote lists every line.
Do we have to buy the park tickets ourselves?
No. Tickets are issued online per visitor, against a passport number, and nobody pays cash for them. We book them for your party once we hold your passport details, and we ask you to keep the e-ticket in your own name.
