Gandiva Phinisi
One phinisi, nine reasons to book her, and the anniversary first
Updated 3 November 2026
Celebration trips on a Komodo phinisi start with the anniversary and widen to honeymoon, family and six more occasions. Gandiva sleeps 12 in 5 cabins, with open-trip seats from IDR 9,000,000 (≈ USD 552) and the whole boat from IDR 80,000,000 (≈ USD 4,908).
Nine occasions, one boat: where each one starts
The grid below holds nine pages, one for each reason people give us for taking a phinisi. Each page keeps the same boat and changes four things: which cabin leads, which stops matter most, who sets the pace and which line of the price you read first.
A couple marking an anniversary starts in the Arjuna cabin. A honeymoon starts in the same cabin on a shorter route. Parents at twenty-five or forty years start with Yudhistira, the room that takes grandchildren. Friends who each have a date start with a bed plan. A company starts with an invoice, a photographer with the position of the sun, a fit party with its shoes and a solo traveller with an honest sum.
Which occasions change the days, and which only change the cabin
Some occasions change the days. A honeymoon leans on Padar at first light. A family slows the climbs and lets a grandparent watch the sunrise from the deck. A fit party adds the trails and the reefs, and the longer 4D3N route. A photography party plans around the sun, and a company trip adds a working morning at the deck table.
Other occasions change only the cabin and the bill. A couple, a group of friends, a VVIP-class enquiry and a solo traveller all sail the same route, and what differs is the room, the bed plan and the price they read. For those, the route is the 3D2N sample, and the captain decides the sequence by wind, tide and park rules.
The anniversary first, the rest after: a reading order
Read the anniversary page first, even if you came for something else. It holds the six-frame shot list, the Arjuna cabin, the Kalong sunset and the extras we arrange on request. Every other page refers back to it, so one read saves you the same questions on every page.
Then pick the page that matches your party, and the cabin and the price line that go with it. Honeymoon and family are the next two, and they sit beside the anniversary on the home page. Groups, the VVIP specification, photography, company trips, active travel and solo travel follow in the sequence of the grid. Hosts planning for others should read the group page before the cabin page.
The price lines every occasion shares
Every occasion shares the same price lines. Open-trip seats start at IDR 9,000,000 (≈ USD 552) a head, 3D2N, two to a cabin, on Mondays and Fridays; Arjuna is IDR 11,500,000 (≈ USD 706). A private charter of the whole boat starts at IDR 80,000,000 (≈ USD 4,908) for one to four guests on 2D1N.
Guide and photo documentation are in the open-trip fare and not in a private fare. Extras are quoted in writing before they are added, and none is free. Twelve guests is the ceiling; a party of thirteen needs a second boat. January and February 2027 are annual maintenance, with no trips, and open sailings run from 1 March to 31 December 2027. The park ticket is a separate line on every quote.
